Daniel Briere

Drug hunter and scientific leader with over 25 years of experience pioneering novel therapeutics for diabetes, obesity, and metabolic diseases. As Biology Lead, advanced the discovery and development of two molecules from conception or portfolio entry into clinical testing: PYY-Nisotirostide (Phase 2 – diabetes) and Amylin-Eloralintide (Phase 3 – obesity), with continued support as subject matter expert through IND-enabling toxicology and clinical execution. Contributed to the development and characterization of industry-defining assets, including tirzepatide (Mounjaro®, Zepbound®), retatrutide, and brenipatide. Currently operates at the intersection of strategic leadership and hands-on science, serving as Platform and Scientific Team Lead for preclinical programs aiming to develop novel diabetes and obesity therapeutics.
